Spring flowers

I've been working on some Spring flowers paintings. I love the bright colours of daff's, tulips, crocuses that arrive in the shops at this time of year. I've noticed snowdrops coming up in the garden, otherwise, it's a bit early here for flowers to grow in the garden.

Anyway, here are some sketches, I'll post the paintings when I've finished them....as long as they turn out ok. I'm enjoying painting them. It's colour therapy !

Great sketches and I will look forward to seeing them as paintings. I have snowdrops, miniture daffodils and crocus in my garden, but the flower shops are full of wonderful spring colours, it does inspire you. Glad you are enjoying your painting.

They are wonderful drawings, last night we drew daffodills in my art lesson. I told them they are the hardest thing to paint ever, well thats what I find, getting all the shadows and keeping them so nice and bright. Looking forward to seeing your paintings, I'm sure they will trun out brillient and bright and lovely.

They are hard to paint ! Difficult not to overwork them, they must stay fresh and bright and pure ! I hope your art class enjoyed the challenge !

I think they will enjoy the challenge still in the drawing stage, I'm a little worried they are easily defeated and self critcal
